DS-708 registered through took truck and not me no update now

     I have a maxidas DS-708 that was bought from a MAC tools truck. When I bought it the tool guy set it all up and didn't have any problems with it for a while. My shop didn't use the ds-708 for a while ( about 14 months) we went to use it again and now it shows no vehicle coverages. I think my SD card may be no good , any help would be appreciated.

     Hi, if your DS708 is still in the update period, you could re-load all the software to have a try.

     Unfortunately it's not  with-in the update period and the tool truck guy is no longer in business and I have no way to access the scanner because when I sign in to Autel the next screen that comes up is to register the scanner. When I enter the scanner info on the registration page it tell me the scanner is already registered to someone else. So my question is how to I even try to update it if I don't have the tool truck guys registration information? Is there anyway to get a download to a SD memory card with the previous coverage that the scanner original had? Can some one from tech support give me a call to better address these issues? If so please email me and I will give you my phone number.

    Hi, if you have no idea about its previous registration information, please let us know the serial number and your own Autel ID.  Then we will try to bound this tool to your Autel ID, so you can login to your own account and renew it. After that, the download access will be re-opened and you could try to load software.

      Thank you for your replys with regards to helping me. My Autel ID: Petey62782@gmail.com. And the serial number is DS019Q002683.
    Is there anyway to just get back the coverage we had when we first purchased the scanner with out having to buy an update. We are not looking for the latest and greatest coverages you offer for this scanner. We primarily work on vehicles that are around 2012-2013 and previous. That was the year about when we originally purchased the unit. Thank again for your help.

     Hey sorry to be a pain in the ass, the shop owner keeps asking me if I heard back from techincal support. Any luck with transferring the serial number to my account??

     The S/N is moved to your ID Petey62782@gmail.com now. You can update it after buying the yearly update.

       Thank you again for your help. Is there anyway to get access to just the software I paid for when I bought the scanner 2014. The issue I'm still having is my SD card is no good so It doesn't allow me to access my original softwares coverage of 2014. I was hoping to be able to program a new SD card with the original software I paid for.

     Hi, sorry, there is no way to download software(no matter the software of 2014 or software for recently) after the download access is closed.

      Thanks for the info and help. Would there be any point to try to talk to someone from a administrative level and plead my case for help. Even maybe a discounted rate for renewal. Other wise to be honest my shop is in the process of purchasing a new Maxisys MS-908P. After the frustration with waiting for the DS-708 to be possibly fixed we demo-d the 908P. IF AUTEL WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMERS AT THE FIRST ISSUE THAN THE 908  IS GOING BACK AND WE WILL TAKE OUR BUSSINESS ELSE WHERE. It's pretty sad that a shop can spend thousands on a Autel scanner and be left with a paper weight essentially. Hopefully Autel will help, other wise they can have back their $3000 scanner back too!
